By conceptualizing the most traditional of methods, she makes the familiar unfamiliar, inducing unique and abstracted sensibilities into an otherwise ordinary practice. “It’s just that little bit harder to get your voice heard in the art world as a woman. The industry is still dominated by men, from gallerists and collectors to art critics and auction houses, as well as the artists themselves.
